문서와 도구
통신과 출판물로 유용한 문서가 있다. 간단히 도메인을 관리하는 정도가 아니라 많은 시간을 들여서 복잡한 도메인을 관리해야 한다면 이 문서 중 몇 가지는 반드시 읽어야 한다. 출판물 중 대표적인것은 C. Liu 와 P. Albitz가 쓴 DNS and BIND라는 책으로 O'Reilly & Associates에서 출판하였다. 필자도 읽어 보았는데 아주 훌륭하다. Craig Hunt가 집필하여 역시 O'Reilly & Associates에서 출판한 TCP/IP Network Administration의 DNS 절도 읽어 볼 만 하다. DNS 관리에 좋은(혹은 문제 해결에 좋은) 책으로는 Robert M. Prisig이 쓴 Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance이 있다. :-) ISBN은 0688052304이다. 그외 유용한 것들이 있다.
인터넷에서는 http://www.dns.net/dnsrd/, http://www.isc.org/bind.html에서 관련 내용을 찾을 수 있다. FAQ, 레퍼런스 매뉴얼(BOG; Bind Operations Guide), 기사, 프로토콜 정의, DNS 해킹 (전부는 아니지만, 이 문서와 rfcs 대부분이 bind 배포본에 포함되어 있다.) 필자는 이들 대부분을 읽지 보지 않았다. 어째든 필자는 전문적으로 DNS를 관리하는 관리자는 아니다. 반면 Arnt Gulbrandsen은 BOG를 읽었고 그 사실에 황홀해 한다. :-) comp.protocols.tcp-ip.domains가 DNS 관련 뉴스그룹이다. 또한, DNS에 관한 RFC가 많이 있다. 아마도 가장 중요한 것은 이것 들일 것이다.
