Note that you may need additional source distribution files of tools used and software packages installed by "Build'n'Play". You can find these additional sources (as separate files) in the subdirectory "packages" at one of the following URLs: http://www.engelschall.com/u/sb/download/bnp/ http://www.ch.engelschall.com/u/sb/download/bnp/ http://www.de.engelschall.com/u/sb/download/bnp/ ftp://ftp.engelschall.com/pub/bnp/ Alternatively, you can download these sources all at once by fetching the file pkg.tar.gz from one of the URLs above. At the same URLs you will also find a file named BnP-*.*.*.pkg.tar.gz (note the ".pkg." in the name) which contains the sources of "Build'n'Play" _PLUS_ the file "pkg.tar.gz". If you download this latter file you can skip the following two paragraphs. 1) When you downloaded BnP-*.*.*.tar.gz pkg.tar.gz then proceed as follows: % gunzip pkg.tar.gz % gunzip BnP-*.*.*.tar.gz % tar xf BnP-*.*.*.tar % cd BnP-*.*.*/ % tar xf ../pkg.tar Note that you can use % gunzip -c BnP-*.*.*.tar.gz | tar xf - on most machines instead of % gunzip BnP-*.*.*.tar.gz % tar xf BnP-*.*.*.tar 2) When you downloaded BnP-*.*.*.tar.gz <*>.tar.gz (i.e., additional sources, separately) then proceed as follows: % gunzip BnP-*.*.*.tar.gz % tar xf BnP-*.*.*.tar % cd BnP-*.*.*/ % mkdir src % mv ../<*>.tar.gz src/ Thereby substitute the name(s) of the additional source file(s) for the "<*>" above. After this, follow the installation instructions given in the files "INSTALL.de" (German) and "INSTALL.en" (English). Please consult the file "BUGS.txt" at the URLs mentioned above for a list of know bugs (and possibly a corresponding work-around). Please report any new bugs you might find to . Thank you! Enjoy!
